Anke a Maipo Valley’s Assemblage
Viña Santa Alicia posee 700 hectares of vineyards scattered throughout the Maipo valley (Pirque, María Pinto, Alhué and Melipilla), donde produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère, Chardonnay y Sauvignon Blanc, among other varieties and the Carménère, Petit and Syrah to make this excellent assemblage.
Suelo & Clima
The Maipo Alto Valley vineyards for this wine are located on the Andean foothills, over a clay-loam soil texture and low fertility with drip irrigation techniques facilities. Mediterranean climate influenced by the breeze that descends from the Andes and the winds from the Pacific Ocean.
The grapes sourced from the Maipo Alto Valley are 100% handpicked and harvested separately accordling and depending on the level of ripeness of each variety and lot. Grapes are de-stemmed and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with select yeasts for 10 a 12 days at a temperature between 26 and 28°C. The wine is then aged in French and American oak barrels for 10 a 12 meses. Each variety is aged separately until the time comes to prepare the final blend for Anke.
