Aging: 14 meses en barricas de roble francés.

Maridaje: Un vino brillante, constante y preciso en su carácter, todo en finura y armonía, un estilo clásico y bien conocido Valle del Maipo. This wine will pair perfectly with red meats, cordero, rabbit, and game meats such as venison or boar that are grilled, roasted, or stewed with a bit of acidity (tomato or wine) or herbs such as rosemary, tomillo, and bay leaf. It will be also perfect with most cheeses. Servir a 16-18°C (60-68°F).

Nota de cata:

Color: Deep red colour.

Aromas: It shows an expressive nose with mineral notes recalling pencil lead, cerezas, and black fruits.

Paladar: Well-structured, muscular, and mouthfilling with firm, natural tannins, y un largo, fruity finish.

Reference value – Case of 9 litros – equivalent to 12 botellas de 750 cc.

Descripción del Producto

Terrunyo comes from the selection of a specific block of our best vineyards, in which we have identified a unique and complex character in each variety selected. The Pirque Viejo Vineyard is one of the Concha y Toro winery’s oldest vineyards. It is located to an altitude 650 m.s.n.m. and runs along the Maipo River, near the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The vertically positioned, cordon-pruned vines, plantadas en 1978, come from pre-phylloxera vinestock.

Suelo

The soil is of alluvial origin, rocoso, poor in nutrients, and highly permeable due to the gravel in the sub-soil.

Clima

The climate is a semi-arid Mediterranean one, out of the other five existing worldwide. The vineyard is strongly influenced by the Andes Mountains and the proximity to the Maipo River. -The high daily temperature oscillation helps develop the fruit concentration and intensifies the aromas.
