Tinto de Rulo is a natural wine made on a human scale winemaking process and born of the dream of three friends from the regions of Maule and Bíobío. Tinto de Rulo company works with small winegrowers, making wines in partnership and only from grapes coming from old vineyards conducted in the old head trellising system without irrigation and under organic management. Tinto de Rulo company looks for an authentic expression of the character of each place, without intervention or manipulations.
Origine
The Malbec and País variety grapes of Tinto de Rulo wines come from vineyards located in the commune of San Rosendo, on granite slopes and of plants having more than 100 anni. In addition Tinto de Rulo company process Carignan grapes from Huerta de Maule, always from old vines under head training driving system.
Vinificazione
The grape fermentation is performing in a natural way, without artificial added yeasts or nutrients of commercial origin. Tinto de Rulo winemaking process perform by the use of open barrels upright and manual temperature control. Tinto de Rulo winemaking team avoid the use of any kind of pumps and all the wine´s movement are made manually, in favour of taking advantage of gravity.
Aging
Tinto de Rulo wines are stored in three different types of containers: barrels of more than 7 uses, old jars of 200 years and small stainless steel vats. The idea behind this is to look for the avoidance of external contribution that modifies the original characteristics of grapes.
