Maridaje: The food pairing possibilities for this Carménère, start with corn dishes such as Pastel de Choclo (maíz y carne empanada); Churrasco with Pimienta (Bife de lomo a la plancha con salsa de cilantro chileno). Salchichas de cerdo dulce y picante, especialmente aquellos con hinojo, pimiento rojo, y orégano, Salami y embutidos fríos, Fiorentina bistec y pizza. Ratatouille o una picante Ragout vegetal mediterránea, Pato asado con salchichas y lentejas, Beef Bourguignon Cassoulet oro. Costillas estofadas, Carré de cordero con romero y ajo, Chile con Carne, Lomo a la pimienta. Servir a 16-18°C (60-68°F).

Color: De color rojo púrpura intenso, brilliant.
Aromas: En nariz frutos rojos maduros, caramelo y suaves toques de pimienta, que son únicos a Carmenere. This blends perfectly with the toasted aromas, vainilla, plums cocoa and nuts from their aging in French oak barrels.
Paladar: En boca está bien estructurado, con taninos maduros y suaves con un final elegante y largo.

Peumayen, in Mapuche means ´place of dreams´, is the name of the company winery located in Panquehue along the Aconcagua River. This particular area has agro climatic conditions which allow the production of high quality grapes. Peumayen processes grapes from its own vineyard which were planted in 1998 and make wines from them in the winery that was built in 2002 in the same place. The careful handpicking and via the selection of the best grapes from their vineyards, which are winemaking and worked to obtain excellent wines. Peumayen works on a small scale, in a handcraft and modern style, with enthusiasm and care for the environment. The family vineyard is managed by its owners, who develop all stages, from growing grapes, winemaking and marketing.
